Cannabinoid Testing

Terpene Testing

Another major component of the plant's chemical composition is the terpene profile. Terpenes are the essential oils found in cannabis and are often associated with the aroma and taste of agriculturally-derived products such as spices, flowers and cannabis. Terpenes such as Terpinolene can make your medicine have a "wood-smokey" aroma where as Pinene gives off a more sweet and piney aroma. Another example is Humulene which is often found in beer hops. Certain terpenes are shown to have medicinal benefits such as, Limonene, which is known to be an anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and also have anti-cancer properties. Residual Solvents

Mycotoxins

Tested Labs routinely tests for Aflatoxins and Ochratoxin in cannabis plants. Aflatoxin, a toxin from a naturally occurring mold, that is a commonly known carcinogen to cause cancer in humans. Alfatoxin B1, B2, G1, G2 should be tested to ensure the safety of your medicine. Ochratoxin is a mycotoxin produced by the fungus Aspergillus ochraceous and also by several species of Penicillium fungi.
